University and college transfer students

Every year, more than 3,000 new transfer students, just like you, join 腦瞳憫 (腦瞳憫). After studying at another university or college, you may be able to apply some or all of your courses towards your degree. Here youll find the support and resources that will help you achieve success.

You might follow one of our formal pathways into a program, or take advantage of individual transfer credits that can lead to advanced-level admission.

Many of our programs and curricula are unique to 腦瞳憫. This makes us a great choice! It also means that admission above level one is not always possible. You may, however, be eligible for transfer credit for individual courses from all levels of your 腦瞳憫 program (which can shorten the time needed to complete your degree). Look through the undergraduate calendar and review the curriculum in your program to see if youve completed equivalent courses.

Our internal database for 腦瞳憫 applicants contains courses from recognized/accredited institutions in Ontario and across Canada. Its not comprehensive but it can be used as a guide to transfer credits that weve recently granted.

If youve applied for admission to a program, you can check if weve recently granted transfer credits for your courses by logging in to  and submitting a Transfer Credit Application (detailed step-by-step instructions are available on the How to Apply for Transfer Credits page).

If your courses haven't been evaluated for transfer credit (this will be indicated as No Rule), youll need to upload a detailed course outline. In this case, the evaluation of your courses can only be done after you accept an Offer of Admission.

Havent applied for admission yet?

No problem! Visit the  website to find the transfer credits you may be eligible for. The list provided on ONTransfer is not comprehensive but is a guide.

If youve attended a university or college in another province or territory, we may have already evaluated your courses for transfer credit. Visit How to Apply for Transfer Credits to find if your university or college is listed. If its listed, you can check if weve recently granted transfer credits for your courses by logging in to  and submitting a Transfer Credit Application (detailed step-by-step instructions are available on the How to Apply for Transfer Credits page).

If your courses haven't been evaluated for transfer credit (this will be indicated as No Rule), youll need to upload a detailed course outline. In this case, the evaluation of your courses can only be done after you accept an Offer of Admission.

If youve received and accepted an Offer of Admission, we encourage you to apply for transfer credits for courses completed at an accredited post-secondary institution anywhere in the world. Youll be required to upload a detailed course outline for each course. Visit Transfer Credits for more information about transfer credit eligibility and applications.

To change your plan or major (e.g. Criminology to Philosophy, Civil Engineering to Mechanical Engineering, Biology to Medical Physics, etc.) visit MyServiceHub Support for instructions.

To transfer undergraduate programs, submit a 腦瞳憫 Application Form and 腦瞳憫 Supplementary Form

  • Some programs may specify non-academic requirements for admission (e.g. portfolio, interview, audition, etc.). Visit the applicable program page for requirements, submissions dates and procedures.
  • You dont need to apply for transfer credits for courses completed at 腦瞳憫. Visit the current or previous 腦瞳憫 students section of the Transfer Credits website for more information about 腦瞳憫 courses and Advisement Reports.
  • Courses completed prior to starting your new program wont be included in the calculation of your cumulative grade point average.

Your complete academic history is considered in our review of your application. This includes all secondary and post-secondary studies, and any courses currently in progress. You must declare all secondary and post-secondary institutions youve attended and you must submit transcripts from each institution. Secondary school transcripts arent required if youre applying to one of our formal pathways.

Along with reviewing performance in your post-secondary studies, we'll be assessing your academic background to ensure that youve achieved the minimum grades in all required subjects. Review the subject requirements on our program page.

The averages/grades required for admission are determined on the basis of competition each year. Unfortunately, possession of minimum averages and/or grades doesn't guarantee admission.

Submit a special consideration form if theres information you feel should be considered in our review of your application. This may include circumstances that affected your grades. Any/all information you provide on this form will be kept confidential.

If youre admitted to an undergraduate degree program, you must complete at least one half (50%) of the programs curriculum at 腦瞳憫. This means that your prior studies can count for a maximum of 50% of your program's requirements.

If your complete post-secondary diploma or degree is used to admit you to an upper level:

  • Individual courses and associated transfer credits will not be recorded on your 腦瞳憫 transcript.
  • Courses can't be used to apply for additional transfer credit (unless otherwise stated in an Offer of Admission).
  • The original grades in your courses will not be recorded on your 腦瞳憫 academic record.
  • Grades in previous courses will not be used in the 腦瞳憫 GPA calculation.
